Job Description

The Editorial Assistant will be responsible for managing manuscripts, coordinating with authors, reviewers, and editors, and ensuring the smooth execution of the editorial workflow. The role involves editorial screening, administrative support, pre-publication coordination, and maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a solid academic background in Life Sciences or Medical Sciences. Candidates with a PhD or postgraduate qualification are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete manuscript submission and editorial workflow.
  • Coordinate with authors, reviewers, and editors through email and the journal management system.
  • Perform initial manuscript screening for formatting and submission requirements.
  • Track peer review progress and ensure timely follow-up with reviewers and authors.
  • Assist editors in pre-publication processes, including revisions and final documentation.
  • Maintain accurate editorial records, reports, and publication data.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with publication ethics.

Requirements

  • Qualification: MBBS, BDS, MSc, M.Pharm, B.Pharm, BSc, Nursing, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or any other related biomedical discipline.
  • Preferred: Candidates with a PhD will be given preference.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in editorial publishing, manuscript handling, academic journals, or related research support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with authors, reviewers, and editors while meeting publication deadlines.
  • Working Days: Monday – Saturday.
  • Interview Timings: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
